Medical Microneedling

Medical Microneedling (also called Collagen Induction Therapy, or Skin Needling) is a procedure that uses small needles to make micro-perforations in the surface of the skin. The pricked skin reacts as though it were injured and stimulates growth of new collagen and elastin in the healing process. The result is skin that is fuller, smoother, and more supple. Patients who get microneedling treatments experience improvement in the texture and firmness of their skin and a reduction in scarring. Microneedling also reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and makes pores look tighter.

Medical Microneedling

Microneedling is an effective anti-aging treatment for people with fine lines, wrinkles, or sagging skin. It’s also beneficial for people with acne, acne scarring, or a rough skin texture. Microneedling may require a little more down time than dermaplaning. After microneedling treatment, skin will look pink and even red for up to 24 hours. It is not advised to wear makeup or to use products with active ingredients like glycolic acid and alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) for up to 24 hours after the procedure. Full results show after six-to-eight weeks. For best results, dermatologists recommend getting four-to-six microneedling sessions.
